What is Western Medicine Fundamentals (WMF)?
WMF is an accredited medical foundation programme for complementary and holistic practitioners working in the Netherlands. You study anatomy, physiology, pathology, and clinical reasoning in a structured way. The programme is taught in clear English and is designed for therapists without a medical background.
How much time does the programme require?
WMF consists of 12 online course days. In addition, you should expect an average of 6 to 8 hours per week of home study. Depending on your pace, the programme can be completed in approximately 6 to 12 months.
Is WMF accredited?
Yes. WMF is accredited by CPION and SNRO and carries 50 ECTS. The curriculum is aligned with recognised educational standards and professional expectations within the Dutch healthcare context.
